Opus School of the Arts in Ridgefield has three weekly summer camps that run Monday through Friday, 10:00am-12:15pm, July 7-July 25th.
The first camp is a visual arts themed camp and the second is a music themed camp. Camps are charged separately giving you the option to take just one of the camps.
Tuition: $140 per student per camp. Discount of 10% for siblings. Materials fee of $30 with a $10 discount for siblings or multiple classes.

*Summer Cancellation Refund Policy*: 50% refund up to May 15th, 50% account credit if cancelling between May 15th and June 15th, no refunds or credits after June 15th.

Week 1: Art FUNdamentals – ages 6-9

This Fine Arts Program will have your child exploring the world of Art with a different theme each day of the week.
Students learn about the fundamentals of art, including Line, Color, Shape, Form, Pattern and Texture. Students will work with clay, watercolors, drawing, collage, and oil pastels! A unique part of this program is the teaching of Master Artists. Students will learn about well-known famous artists such as Picasso and Georgia O’Keeffe, as well as many lessor known artists such as Hundertwasser and Emily Carr.
Week 1: Superstars! – ages 6-9
11:15am-12:15pm | July 7-11 | Tuition $140
This is our most popular camp! The curriculum gives children a quadfecta of drums, pre-piano, ukulele, and vocal skills.
Students play fun games to reinforce theory-based concepts such as rhythm, the musical alphabet, piano keyboard, ukulele, ear-training, and more. Students also use books to learn notation and chords for the piano, ukulele, and vocal songs. Students also explore other instruments during the term to introduce them to the musical world of possibilities.

Week 2: Art FUNdamentals – ages 6-9

Week 2: Piano Team (group piano) – ages 6-9
11:15am-12:15pm | July 14-18 | Tuition $140
The perfect beginning piano class with both ensemble and private lesson focus.
Each day students build on skills learned from the previous day and expand on the group song to play for parents on the last day. Our Teams are fun, unique group classes where students learn correct technique and postures from the start, learn to read music, and have fun playing music theory & skill games together! Individual home-play assignments are tailored to the child.
Week 3: July 21 – 25


Week 3: Art FUNdamentals – ages 10-14

This Fine Arts Program will have your teen/tween exploring the world of Art with a different theme each day of the week.
Students learn about the fundamentals of art, including Line, Color, Shape, Form, Pattern and Texture. Students will work with clay, watercolors, drawing, collage, and oil pastels! A unique part of this program is the teaching of Master Artists. Students will learn about well-known famous artists such as Picasso and Georgia O’Keeffe, as well as many lessor known artists such as Hundertwasser and Emily Carr. There will be more in depth project for this older group.
Week 3: Rock Guitar – ages 10-14
11:15am-12:15pm | July 21-25 | Tuition $140
Join other aspiring rock guitarists and learn some of the most iconic rock guitar riffs every rock guitarist should know. Beginners are welcome.
It takes all kinds of skills to play some of the most popular guitar riffs from bands like The Beatles, Black Sabbath, Lynard Skynard, Scorpions, AC/DC, Green Day, Cream, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, and more! Bring your guitar, amp and stomp pedals if you have them or use ours. There may be a rockin’ performance on the last day for parents and friends.
