Opus School of the Arts in Camas and Ridgefield is thrilled to offer music, art, dance, and theater classes for homeschool families in our community on WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY morning/afternoons.
Choose from the offerings below to create a multi-class journey or just a single class experience. Classes are scheduled to begin the first week in September and run on a month-to-month basis with a 30-day withdrawal process. Students with prearranged absences can attend another age-appropriate class (Policies and Procedures will be provided at the time of registration).
Monthly tuition rates are discounted per student as more classes are added. Class 1: $85, Class 2: $78, Class 3+: $72 each. If you were to take 3 classes (per student), your monthly tuition would be $235. The tuition for the 30 minute classes is $60.
In order to keep our tuition at this lower rate for homeschool families, class enrollment requires a minimum of 4 students in order for it to run. We recommend speaking with other families in your circle to help bring the number of students in your desired class to our minimum so we can offer it.

Camas Studio
10:00am Classes
Ages 1.5-3: Dance With Me, 30 minutes, Monthly Tuition $60 (10:30am-11:00am)
Child and caregiver play movement games that explore rhythm, spatial awareness, coordination, and expression.
Ages 3-5: Art lab 45 minutes, Monthly Tuition $85 (10:00am-10:45am)
Pre-K Art Lab is a Fine Arts program where students will explore mediums, techniques, and master artists from the Renaissance to more Contemporary forms. They will explore patterns, shapes, and color mixing—learning that math and art come together when we count, compare, and balance colors and forms.

Ages 3-5: Musical Seeds, 30 minutes, Monthly Tuition $60 (11:30am-12:00pm)
Our innovative and proven early childhood curriculum is based on the latest Johns-Hopkins research. Children 5 and under can learn to read music notation and symbols, play instruments, sing, and dance while fostering their ability to grasp math and science as they develop.

Ages 6-8: Dance Superstars, 45 minutes, Monthly Tuition $85 (11:30am-12:15pm)
This is our most popular class giving children a quadfecta of dance genres in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary. Students explore technique, coordination, style, and musicality. Introduce your child to the world of possibilities in dance. Ballet and tap shoes required.
Ages 6-9: Continuing Piano Class, 50 minutes, Monthly Tuition $85 (11:00am-11:50am)
The perfect 50-minute beginning and continuing piano class with both ensemble and individual focus. Our classes are fun, unique group classes where students learn correct technique and postures from the start, learn to read music, and have fun playing music theory & skill games together!
Ages 6-9: Opus Art Lab, 50 minutes, Monthly Tuition $85 (11:00am-11:50am)
Kiddos Art Lab is a Fine Arts program where students will explore mediums, techniques, and master artists from the Renaissance to more Contemporary forms. Students see math in action through symmetry, color ratios, and Fibonacci patterns—using these ideas when creating cartoons, comics, and colorful designs.
Ages 9-13: Opus String Orchestra 50 minutes, Monthly Tuition $85 (11:00am-11:50am)
Join the Homeschool String Orchestra and learn the ins and outs of Violin, Viola, or Cello. In this class, you’ll learn the basics of playing a string instrument in a group setting. Basic string techniques and beginning music theory concepts will be taught while encouraging students to have fun and to creatively express themselves. NO experience is required, rental instruments are available on request

The perfect 50-minute beginning and continuing guitar class with both ensemble and individual focus. Our classes are fun, unique group classes where students learn correct technique and postures from the start, learn to read music, and have fun playing music theory & skill games together!
Ages 6-9: Intro to Acting 50 minutes, Monthly Tuition $85 (12:00pm-12:50pm)
Students in this class learn to improvise, analyze text, and rehearse scenes to develop skills and self-confidence. Come explore in this safe space and embrace the stage as a playground!
Ages 6-12: Beginning Piano Class 50 minutes, Monthly Tuition $85 (10:00am-10:50am)
The perfect 50-minute beginning and beginning piano class with both ensemble and private lesson focus. Our classes are fun, unique group classes where students learn correct technique and postures from the start, learn to read music, and have fun playing music theory & skill games together!
Ages 10-13: Opus Art Lab, 50 minutes, Monthly Tuition $85 (12:00am-12:50am)
Tween Art Lab is Fine Arts program where students will explore mediums, techniques, and master artists from the Renaissance to more Contemporary forms. Math and art blend through perspective, proportion, color harmony, and Fibonacci spirals—helping students understand that visual balance is mathematical as well as creative.

Ages 6-9: Broadway Dance, 50 minutes, Monthly Tuition $85 (1:00pm-1:50pm)
This class teaches the styles seen on Broadway and your local community theater stages, with a focus on connecting the choreography to the music and lyrics.

Teen Lab is a Fine Arts Program, students deepen their understanding of how math and art intersect through perspective, proportion, color theory, and composition, applying concepts like ratio, scale, and pattern to create more intentional and expressive work.
