Why Art at Opus?

Everyone deserves to express themselves creatively through art in a welcoming and inclusive space. Young visual artists learn skills and techniques while developing confidence in their abilities. Our artists have opportunities to showcase their work in the Opus studios and are never judged by words like ‘better’ or ‘best’.

Convenience

Schedule Music, Dance, Art, and Theater Classes at the same time, for different children, or back-to-back classes for one child. We serve all ages and have an amazing Adult Fitness/Wellness program.

Fun First

Artistic activities provide an outlet for self-expression, emotional release, and stress reduction. Students can find solace and joy in the creative process, contributing to their mental and emotional well-being. Arts education also promotes self-discovery, confidence-building, and a sense of achievement as students explore their talents, interests, and passions.

Healthy Minds

Art education promotes creativity and imagination. It encourages individuals to think innovatively, experiment with different materials and techniques, and explore new ideas. Through artistic activities, students learn to approach problems from multiple perspectives, fostering critical thinking. It allows students to express themselves creatively and teaches them to become confident individuals. Arts experiences boost critical thinking, teaching students to take the time to be more careful and thorough in how they observe the world.

An arts education exposes students to various cultural traditions, historical contexts, and artistic styles. Students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for diverse perspectives, practices, and values by studying art from different cultures and periods. This cultivates cultural awareness, promotes tolerance, and develops a sense of global citizenship, enabling students to navigate and appreciate an increasingly diverse world.

Experienced Instructors

Our art teachers are experienced, warm, gifted educators. Our staff go through a comprehensive screening and interview process to be certain they are the right fit for the Opus culture and have been certified to teach in the Opus Art Lab.
