Current Teaching Positions Open!
We are currently looking for positions in the following areas, which include substitute and permanent part time employment:
Music Teachers in the areas of piano, voice, guitar (acoustic, electric, bass, ukulele, mandolin, banjo), woodwind/brass, percussion (drum set, hand drums, bars).
Art Teachers to teach both in a curriculum based program called Art FUNdamentals for ages 3-14 and outside of that curriculum for older teens and adults.
Dance Teachers to teach various forms of dance including ballet, tap, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, breakdance, theater dance.
Theater Teachers to teach various forms and skills for musical theater and basic acting.
Fitness Instructors to teach various forms of fitness classes including yoga, pilates, dance fitness (Zumba, etc.).

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or working toward one (music, dance, and art)

“I am a former teacher at Opus School of Music. (I stepped down after 5+ years to become a full-time student, pursuing my masters in piano.) Opus is a GREAT place for musicians, young and old, to hone their craft. Although most students are children and teens, it is not uncommon for adults to take lessons as well. Opus attracts high caliber teachers and supports them in giving the best to their students through a variety of performance opportunities, quality instruments and equipment, and an ever-growing music library. The atmosphere at Opus is collaborative rather than competitive. Yeah sure the instructors might make you memorize some scales that you don’t want to memorize, but that is how you improve your skills.
