Why Fitness and Wellness At Opus?
At the heart of Opus culture is positive energy. We value wellness as a means to longevity, and are excited to share our Fitness and Wellness classes with our community!
We’re delighted to offer group classes to the Camas community for a range of ages and levels of fitness. Our classes are designed to improve strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and more… all in brand-new studios with professional sprung flooring to prevent injuries.
Convenience
Opus Camas is in the heart of downtown Camas, next to Safeway where you can shop before or after your classes. You can schedule your Fitness/Wellness classes along with Music, Dance, Art, and Theater Classes for your children.
Fun First
You don’t have to suffer or be bored to get strong. Improving your fitness and body mechanics can be fun when you find the studio and teachers that speak to you. Maybe you’re new to exercise, or have taken a long break but want to get back into movement. All are welcome in our community.
Healthy Bodies
At Opus, you have the opportunity to create body awareness like you never had before. Through our fitness and wellness classes, you can expand your knowledge of the body, become safer in functional movement, and embrace a mindset of gratitude for your strength and capabilities.
Experienced Instructors
Our fitness instructors are all CPR-certified and hold multiple certifications in group exercise and personal training to ensure classes are professional, safe, and fun!

Yoga
Hatha Yoga – Hatha yoga combines classical yoga poses, breath work, and gentle warming movements to build strength and flexibility, and encourage relaxation. The class focuses on standing poses and basic groundwork that are typically practiced at a slower pace than Vinyasa yoga, and with static postures held for 3-5 breaths. This class is suitable for all levels. Bring your own mat.
Times: Thu 4:30-5:30
Vinyasa Yoga – This is an all-levels yoga class that creates a link between breath & movement. Expect a full-body workout, focused on the breath, with encouragement to move in a way that feels good to you! Bring your own mat.
Gentle Yoga Stretch – In this class, we work into all areas of the body with emphasis on a longer hold and deep breathing. A beautiful time to unwind & relax into your evening. Bring your own mat.

Pilates Mat
Beginner-Intermediate Pilates Mat – Focusing on Pilates’ 6 Principles, this class is a blend of the original Classical Pilates repertoire and Contemporary Pilates repertoire. Perfect for all levels. Bring your own mat.
Pilates Stretching and Myofascial Release – After a short Pilates warm-up, this class emphasizes breathing and relaxing the muscles in each posture. Small props are used to release specific muscle groups and improve mobility. Bring your own 36” foam roller and mat.
Pilates/Barre – Starting with a Pilates warm-up, this Barre class focuses on balance, strength, and control of the movement. Your instructor builds the class on three requests from the class for the muscle group focus, all while giving you a whole-body workout. Bring your own mat.

Dance Fitness
Zumba® – This class takes the “work” out of a workout by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Zumba is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness: cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility, resulting in boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class. Perfect for everybody and every body!
Funky Rhythms – Funky Rhythms dance class is fun, easy to follow, and encourages individual dance expression in Soul, Latin, Afro Beat, Funk, and Social Line Dances from around the world.

Silver Star
Silver Star Pilates and Functional Movement – This class for seniors focuses on improving strength, balance, and coordination. As you gain control and confidence with the movement, the level of complexity increases along with endurance. Chairs are provided.

The Ellové Technique
The Ellové Technique® (Coming Soon!)
The Ellové Technique is a low impact conditioning and cross-training class that improves strength, flexibility, and stability. Set to an intentional playlist, this adaptable workout reduces injury risk by targeting muscle imbalances, refining alignment, increasing endurance, and practicing safe stretching techniques. Appropriate for all levels, The Ellové Technique incorporates the pure techniques of Pilates, strength training, yoga, and ballet, and is endorsed by Amy Werner, DPT.

Adult Ballet
Adult Ballet – Artistry, musicality, and coordination are taught alongside ballet technique in this class that welcomes all body types. No previous dance experience required. Start date is tentatively scheduled to begin late June to early July.
