SUMMARY:Music Production and Engineering Class
DESCRIPTION:Opus Specialty Class Ages 12 and up.  Students will learn basic sound physics\, music theory\, work with microphones\, mixing boards\, recording equipment and computers.  Students will learn how to set a stage\, run a sound mixing board for the live and studio applications then put preparation into practice by running the soundboard for the Spring Showcase performance\, TBA\, and/or a recording session of Opus students as a final project.

SUMMARY:Gig at Battleground Community Center
DESCRIPTION:Battleground Art Alliance has invited Opus students to perform for a 45 minute set during their art show\, Saturday\, March 22nd from 11:00-11:45 at the Battleground Community Center.  The Opus gig will end with a Jam Band performance of all the students that participate in playing their solo pieces.  Songs will include Down By the Bay\, Brown-Eyed Girl\, Three Little Birds and Surfin’ USA.  Students may play on as many of them as they wish. We currently have only room for one more keyboardist\, two guitarists which will got to the first takers. \nThis is a family friendly event and something to do to get the kids out to see great art and other activities.
